Proposal of cooperation from Moscow: Ankara-Moscow-Cairo triangle

One of the influential names on Russian foreign policy, Prof. Alexander Dugin, penned down the necessary steps should be taken in the line of Ankara-Moscow-Cairo. Written for Aydinlik Newspaper in Turkey, we present a part here from his article.

Proposal of cooperation from Moscow: Ankara-Moscow-Cairo triangle
A+ A-

“By supporting Hafter and Tobruk government in Libya’s conflict, Egypt now is starting to play a grand part, and tries to get away from the influences of Arab monarchies. New function of Egypt gives us an opportunity to start talking about establishing new strategic Moscow-Ankara-Cairo triangle. Because, taken together with the differences between Sisi, Erdogan and Putin, Macron and his allies are positioning themselves in this region, this way or that way, against Egypt, Turkey and Russia.

“For this reason, in the conflict of Libya and as a whole in Middle East, an important aim of Easter Meditarrenean politics, for finding ways of end Libyan crisis, and, for giving Macron forces, a pretender to new leadership of global liberal empire, “a push” from the region, should be developing a strategic agreement project between Russia, Turkey and Egypt.

“… At this point, even though Turkey, Egypt and Russia have disputes with each other, attention should be given to reconciliation of interests of these regional states. Because we do not have an idea of unilateral hegemony. This is not possible either. Either present-day Russia, or present-day Turkey, or present-day Egypt do not have that kind of ambition. We, in a multipolar frame, want to protect our strategic interests. Unlike those who, with fanatics and maniacs ready to do everything including wars and coups, hopelessly and helplessly struggling with pain to save the unilateral liberal world, we have the perspective of mutual understanding.”
